Postnatal Services
As your postnatal Doula I recognise that all families are unique, and my aim is to tailor my services to your needs which may alter during the time I work with you.
I am there to offer support to both parents in whatever way you feel is most useful such as light housework and food preparation. When requested I can give practical tips on baby care. In this way the mother and father remain the main nurturing carers, without the worry of maintaining a home and preparing meals. I have listed a few of the ways in which I will be able to help you during those first few weeks.
- Physical and emotional support - Particularly talking through the birth of your baby.
- Help and support with breast / bottle feeding and expressing milk
- Care for your newborn so you can sleep, rest and recuperate
- Carry out light housework e.g. vacuuming, ironing, tidying, washing up, and washing baby's clothes
- Run errands e.g. light shopping, post thank you cards for baby gifts
- Baby care e.g. how to bath your baby, preparing baby's room
- Baby concerns e.g. sleeping routines
As a Doula it would be my pleasure and privilege to be able to accompany you on your journey.
