Birth - What is included in the service and how much does it cost?

My fees depend on your needs, personal circumstances and the travel distance involved. Please contact me to discuss my services and fees.

My birth doula service includes:

• At least two antenatal visits of around two hours each
• Unlimited phone and e-mail contact
• Advice on developing your birth plan
• Being on-call for the two weeks before and after your expected due date
• Staying with you during the labour, birth and immediate post partum period
• One or two post natal visits
• Other help as required

There is no charge for the initial meeting should you decide not to book. If I travel to this meeting I may ask for mileage costs if you are more than five miles away.

I will be on call day and night for two weeks before your due date and for two weeks afterwards. In addition, I aim to strike a balance between the financial needs of our families and my commitment to my clients. This means I limit the number of bookings I take to ensure flexibility and availability. Bookings are taken on a first-come first-served basis. If I have two enquiries for similar dates I will always offer my services to the first enquirer.

I have a contract that you will be asked to sign. This ensures my availability and sets out what you can expect from your doula and what she will expect from you in return. As a member of Doula UK, the UK association of doulas, I adhere to a code of practice.
